6PM – 6:30 to 7:00PM Social and dining

This month’s speaker has been hard at work for years at breaking barriers to transparency in our government and exposing violations of the people’s rights here in Florida and all over the country. George Metz a.k.a. Rogue Nation will talk about free press and other first amendment issues and some of the ways we can work to protect what we have left and possibly take back some of what has been stolen.
No one is obligated to order food or drink, but The Moose Lodge has been very generous, allowing us to use their meeting room. Keep in mind that your server is a volunteer and does not get paid to serve you. Lisa has been our server and has been doing a wonderful job. Please make sure to thank her. Feel free to continue eating during the discussion, no need to rush. Sometimes the food doesn’t get out right away. Stay as long as you like after the meeting. If we need to leave the main meeting room, you are welcome to move over to the lounge until about 9:45PM.

January 5, 2023 | Port Charlotte
Monthly meeting
Our January 5th monthly meeting will be held at the Port Charlotte Moose Lodge,
3462 Loveland Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL
Special Speaker James McLynas
You will hear a unique perspective regarding law enforcement and some other great topics. James McLynas ran for sheriff in Pinellas County with platform items like restoring the role of peacekeeper, protecting constitutional rights, ending policing for profit and the war on drugs, and defending the second amendment.
You won’t find many that go into court pro se (without a lawyer) and win every time much less one that is running for county sheriff.
Mr. McLynas is an informally trained expert on many laws including the Sunshine Law. You don’t want to miss this.
If any time is left after questions, a suggested topic of discussion might be RLC membership growth and training.

Charlotte County RLC, as an organization, has endorsed four candidates. Two of our main purposes are to get candidates elected who support our limited government principles and then to hold all our officials accountable.
This is one of the most important elections in the history of Charlotte County. We haven’t really had even one liberty candidate run for office in a very long time and we now have multiple candidates. We have candidates that can win but it will take some work from the grassroots and donations. I can’t stress how important it is to the future of Charlotte County that everybody that supports any or all of these candidates gets involved this election cycle. These are all entirely grass roots campaigns. It is up to each and every one of us to spread the word.
Time is short. The Vote by Mail ballots will be going out shortly and early voting starts on August 8th. Since there are only Republicans running for office, the primary is supposed to be an open primary, meaning that everybody should get to vote for the Commission candidates this year. Make sure your friends that aren’t registered Republicans know they can vote for their Commissioner this time around. If you haven’t been to a meeting lately, please come on out and meet the candidates.
